At South Side we desire to cultivate partnerships with missionaries and missions organizations in a way that is mutually beneficial. As a church, we long to support these partners with financial resources and manpower to help them achieve their ministry. Similarly these partnerships are catalysts to our congregation by inspiring us to be missionaries in our own contexts.

In an effort to bridge those relationships we will feature a missionary partner each month. We encourage you to check out the information below. Call, write, email, and pray for each partner all the while considering how you may employ similar outreach methods in the context God has giving you.

Featured Missions Partner:

American Indian Christian Mission (AICM)

American Indian Christian Mission (AICM) founded in 1969, will be celebrating 50 years in 2019.Serving the spiritual needs of the Native American people. AICM, through the generous support of Ministry Teams across the nation has been able to start a school in 1985.  Children are able to spend the school year at the mission, going home every weekend. Students spend their time studying, praying, and playing at the school and dorm homes. Through this mission, hundreds of children from the Navajo and Apache nations have benefited from the Christ-centered programs.

The Apache Christian Connection is their mobile outreach ministry.  A converted school bus, now the “Blue Bus”, goes into neighborhoods on the Reservation several times every week, year round providing Biblical teaching for children through stories, songs, and crafts.

At South Side Christian Church, through the wonderful support of our members, we have been able to partner with AICM as one of their Ministry Partners.  Through the work of AICM and South Side, we will be sending a Mission Team to Show Low, Arizona in the spring to help with a construction project of a dorm call Emmaus.   The dorm is the oldest structure on the campus.  The dorm has a lot of history and has been used as a school, kitchen, cafeteria, student dorm and now team dorm. AICM has requested that our mission team, assist in building a new gable roof over the top of the old roof. This mission trip is such a wonderful way for South Side to continue “striving to guide everyday people into a Christ-following family”.

Please be sure to visit the American Indian Christian Mission website at to see all of the wonderful work taking place.  You can also check them out on YouTube and Facebook.
