Mission Partners
The purpose of global missions at South Side is to create a pipeline of opportunity for anyone, at any level of commitment, to experience and explore what it means to be an everyday missionary.
We believe the gospel should be carried to the Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria of our day, even to the ends of the earth. South Side is a congregation that is generous with their time, talent, and treasure. Therefore, it is our desire to leverage the unique collection of gifts that make up our church family to achieve a greater impact for the Kingdom.
Through strategic partnerships, we will develop strong relationships with our missionary partners. Through these relationships, we will work to involve the people of South Side so that they may be put into ‘practice what is preached.’ The foundation of relationship will also allow us to better evaluate our partnership with our missionary partners whether in Springfield, around the nation, or internationally. We believe that relief and recovery are important focuses for mission, however we desire to partner with missions that are increasing the capacity of those they are ministering to by nourishing bodies and souls in sustainable and exponential ways.
As a result, we make 3-year commitments to our missionary partners. We believe this allows both our missionary partners and South Side to collectively evaluate the effectiveness of our partnership. We desire mutually beneficial partnerships, partnerships in which we can effectively support, but also those that help guide the people of South Side down the road towards being a missionary within their own context.
