Every marriage needs two house guests to accompany them. Paul names them in Ephesians 4 and 5. They should be permanent residents, but often they come and go intermittently. Without their company, marriage relationships can become rocky and empty. But if we live Paul’s command to “Be patient, bearing with one another in love” (Eph. 4:2), then we will foster relationships that will be full and life-giving. This is a NT exegetical/topical series.
